Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Doubtful at the moment car will start to pull the car apart in February will see I guess. I really don't feel like seeing a Honda civic with 18s, a exhaust and a ****ed up paint job winning either. Half of these people won't know what a VW is. They'd be like "errrr dis got v-tec ule bro?"

Haha, it may be the "wrong" audience but I'd still be up for it. I'm a very proud owner of a VW and member of these forums so I'll be representing that.
              Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
              Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

thats the spirit ray, i totally agree. There are some crazy cars here on our great forum. We should represent vw at this show as well as the forum.

steve bro .. munch bro, munch ..

i dont think they realise what 20s do to a civic or any small car for that matter, long as its "hektic" thats all that matters! loving those cheap nasty tyres they always get! i have yet to see any with michelins, dunlops or pirelli's on them! let alone kumho's or bridgestones!

im not wog hektic enough unfortunately for this so my car will be sitting at work for this one. so im def out!

the only problem with a lot of these cars is they pay somebody to do everything for them, tuning/modifications is always a lot more interesting and a good learning curve if you actually try do things yourself! (minus a few things of course lol)

The thing is the amount of money I payed for my tiny rims is the same amount they will pay for there system install and a set of rims!

Thats it I'm going a completely different style with my car, crystal tails, bodykit, x force exhaust x2 and purple car with number plates 4MYE90 on them with neons out of every crevise there is. Now thats hectik

so are you trying to say that you spent 4k plus on your wheels? If you did for that type of money you could have gotten second hand 18" Porsche turbo twist wheels, with rubber.
