I had a really nice time today. Yeah, steve that was me (I'm fahmid- Difficult name, so I don't blame you for forgetting)! It was really fun doing the mt mee run; it was my first time! I loved it!!
Thanks again to the guy with the fiat 500 ( i forgot your name sorry) for organising today! Hope your mate in the blue golf r is alright.
Good to see some really nice cars out there. For me the silver s3 was the highlight of my day.
Thanks a lot for the photos too guys! Couple of really nice shots
Sorry Fahmid. Yes that was fun you should of tagged along still, I like your car I reckon if you where in front I would have trouble keeping up....maybe hehe.
What happend to the guy in the r?

Haha, I just don't like pushing my car on roads I don't know. If we ever go to jolly's look out from waterworks road, I'll be happy to lead and do my best to leave you behind
The blue golf R, was leading our pack for a little bit. He took a wrong turn and basically we had about 15 cars in this tiny narrow road. He decided to go up a drive way to do a U turn and then out of no where came a random Holden Captiva very pissy at everyone for blocking up the road, and started beeping his horn at us.
Anyway, when the captiva finally managed to overtake all of us on the cruise who were lost on this narrow road, he spoke to the guy in the blue golf r right at the front (who was on the random driveway) and told him that if he keeps going straight through there is a short cut and it joins back on to the road towards mt glorious.
I think the person in the blue golf r had trouble understanding him, and for some reason decided to go 'straight through' up this very steep driveway (atleast 20 degrees from the horizontal on a gravel road... ) He would have definitely damaged his car pretty badly while doing some proper 4WD'ing in his little golf R!
We all went straight through on the narrow road and had no problem joining back up towards mt glorious, but I think in the end the guy with the blue golf R went home with his damaged car.
Oh ok that would suck, i did some 4wding in my old car at the back of glasshouse mountains when it was raining on logging truck roads. Passed some jacked up 4wds and they where looking at me stunned and then laughing....maybe a honda prelude wasn't meant to go there lol oh well i had fun
On my way up i think i was about 20mins behind seen 2 blue r's, one parked on the side of the road and the other stopped at Mt Glorious which i ended up following down but he did a Uturn and went back up. I am sure i have seen him before, he was with a chick. Anyway if you want to go for a cruise let me know and i understand not knowing the road, its been years since i went that way to Daybro.
Mt Lindesay Hwy is a good road to drive and Nerang-Murwillumbah Road i heard is good, anyone been on Nerang-Murwillumbah Road?

Ok so i have a blue Golf R but that wasn't me that went the wrong way, haha, and no damage to my car on the day thank god as i was in the lead pack, i was waiting for my other mates in the Grey and White Golf R's that missed the Spit turnoff that passed us as we continued on so i turned around to join up with them, we got in late to join back up for lunch, Great day all round and we did quite well for such a large number of cars
That was a great day guys, we had a blast. Everyone was generally well behaved.....Generally. I got stuck behind a 4wd at one stage where someone passed us going up a blind hill on double white lines. Needless to say just past the crest was a guy on a motorbike, if he was at that crest 10 seconds earlier he would of been dead........DEAD!
As fun as the day was I really think some people need to drive to conditions and their cars ability. Silly stuff like that will get someone killed.
After lunch Ben, Chris and I turned around and went home the way we came and had another great drive! Weeeeee......
As a newbie I'd like to thank whoever put this together. I had a great day, and it is always good to have an excuse to give the car a squirt. FYI I was in the BMW Z4MC
I've just posted in the newbie section detailing my VW connection. Not quite as much fun to drive as the Z, but a great little car nonetheless.
I look forward to the next run...

Hi, i am the guy in that R, ya, I left early and back home to check the damage. Luckily, after a proper wash and inspect, nothing major damage happen on it beside some little scratches under the front bumper. Sorry can't keep the event roll by myself, but see you guys later for next one.
