Personally I thought it was a bit of a disaster... Even if the turnout was more than expected
The route map was terrible. Having a large group of cars travel through highly populated areas with traffic light after traffic light was not a good idea. I'm not even going to bother mentioning the whole "secret" location issue.
Where were Shannons, Andy's Bratwurst and the various bands that usually attend?
Hopefully next year it will be better organised.
Thanks for a better than expected day anyway guys.
Hey dude, do you have any pics or videos of us driving down. I was in the silver M3.

That was a good little pack you guys had going. Enjoyable driving style
That part of the cruise was about the only fun. And the drive back down the Kwinana with the Green RS, SRi-T and 80's Porsche giving it some stick.
We got a few videos, however John didn't have the Go-Pro on the right setting until we got past all the traffic lights.
He did get a few of you and the Carrera S at the lights. I'll put them all in a private youtube link sometime during the week.
I'm going in to speak to Steve at Burswood Opel tomorrow, so hopefully they had a few enquiries and gained some interest. It'd be good if they came again next year as the OPC range will be over.
I'd suggest that, if the Merc club is planning to host next year's as well, then perhaps a VAG rep can offer some positive feedback and encouragement to them well beforehand
I'd go far to say It'd be worth having it organised by a different Club.... And I know it costs them quite a lot in both money and time, but if it means making it more interesting and eventful for people involved it would obviously be a huge bonus.
Motorkhana was a huge drawcard a few years back, I can't see why they havent included it in recent years.
(Yes I know the Merc President said there were noise complaints, but how can it even be relevant during the day in a public space in a 90% commercial area?)
