BTW I noticed a couple of people commenting after the happy laps about my hazards flashing at the end of the back straight at turn 3. The hazards annoys me so much >=( Anyway its some sort of safety feature when the car detects its about to crash or something like that haha.

Oh, forgot to mention Don said that everyone was well behaved & we all came straight off the track when showed the red flag at the end (which is unusual) - so well done!

Thanks for organizing this mate. Good to meet a few new people also. Had a blast out there until 4th gear stopped working . I can see dollar signs already.

Really? I thought I looked slow haha. Certainly is regular speed, no editting done. These uploads certainly take A LONG TIME TO DO! About 1.5-2.5 hrs for each part Can't remember if it's in this video or Part 3 but the R32 that I overtook in Part 1 overtakes me back. Should have seen it coming really, 1.6 i4 vs. 3.2 V6. hmm wonder who will win lol. I must admit Part 2 is a little boring as I slowed the pace back a little bit to rest the car.

Good fun indeed. Chewed my front tyres up a bit as I need an alignment but couldn't afford one prior to this event but ohwell. Also noticed how the cheap tyres on the back get very slippery pretty quick (while the toyo t1rs on the front were very nice) and had the back swing out a couple times without even pushing it all that hard haha. The vr6 brakes with greenstuff pads lasted the whole time without fading much if at all, but then again I had the least powerful car out there which really showed on this course thanks to all the straights.

Good to have you along mate - I thought you did really well in the Mk3.
I wasn't quite used to the coil-overs installed the day before and had a bit if lift off oversteer to contend with as well - certainly makes you take notice at the corners!
I was looking into aftermarket pads - does anyone have any experience with pads for vag's other than the Greenstuff ones that Ben mentioned? I remember someone at the last Happy Laps talking about Endless pads being good and not much dust?!

I use xilisoft to cut the file into 2 parts.
I then use pazera free mov to avi to alter the file type to avi so i can upload it to youtube easier, also scale it down to 60%

All the footage is great. I have some as well but i need some guidance with a video editing. What do you guys use and what type of file so you save it as for upload? Got a great shot of my spin.....

All I do is drag and drop my AVCHD (.MTS file, although it may be different for you - it's the video file from the storage card), into Windows Live Movie Maker. Press youtube at the top, sign in and it will convert, upload and publish it all for you. Just be warned though that some very minor editing may be needed as Youtube only allows 15min per video.

Alrighty then, here is part 3. The 306GTi that nearly spun out can be see from 5:25 - 5:50. He sure did a great save after hitting the dirt though. Unfortunately my A-pillar blocks some of the action.

I must agree hearing that C63 go past on some of Dad's sideline videos, it does sound EPIC! It even has that blurt like in the DSG VW's except with a meaty V8 blurt.

But then again, I think that microphone is slightly busted because my car sounds like a jet about to take-off because all you hear is a huge whine from the transmission haha.

Couple of brief cameo appearances in there for me, most notably in Rhys's Part 1 @ about 7min mark, chasing down that C63. I love my GTI, but I gotta be honest, I'd give it away in a heartbeat for a C63. The sound of that V8 would put a horn on a jellyfish.

Hahaha, agree that thing sounds like automotive heaven when he opens it up.
