ahh well, I never wanted to win anything anyway, as long as I get to go out on the track with cars of similar pace.
Whats your capacity, 1.9 isn't it? You're lucky, you will still scrape in under 3000cc so you will be in over 2000cc (but still under 3000cc). I come in just over 3000cc so I get to go against the big beasts like some boosted-up RWD skyline last year pulling 1:08s on his first session Mind you you get some real surprises from cars you least expect to be fast. The last track day I went to there was a gutted out EG civic with a still NA but obviously worked 2.4l accord engine that pulled a high 1:03 :O

So my 2.0 tdi would be up against 3.0 cars. I'd get massacred haha

The good thing is they group cars by lap times so you only go out with a group where the speed differential is pretty close. They adjust the groups throughout the day, so if you start in a beginners group but then progress to times in a faster group you will move into the faster group.

You don't even really think about the classes throughout the day, you just have fun running with cars of similar speed. Its only when you go check the timesheets that you see how you went in your class.

Got something in the mail today...

                  Looking forward to this one

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Naturally aspirated diesels get a 0.7 mulitplier vs actual capacity

                    Hoyhoy.

For Greg & others worried the sizing of your donk.

"Note: Rotary and forced induction engines are subject to capacity multipliers as follows:
Rotaries multiply by 1.8 Forced Induction multiply by 1.7 Forced Induction Rotaries multiply by 3.06"

But this doesn't really matter on the day, it all comes down to mods & tyres.
                    Hooroo.

                          26th mate.

I too got my L2S in the mail tonight when I got home - I guess they didnt want my photo?

I suppose it just means that I'll have to have photo ID aswell?****answered myself - CAMS customer service say a photo ID is not req'd for an L2S.

The GT3 that I mentioned is running this year's Vic SuperSprints in the same class as my PoD - strangely, my PoD can't get very close to it's times
