Sweet thanks bsting... Im surprisd there wasnt much in the way of Mk1's... I also see heaps of talk on www.vask.co.nz but where were they?
Props to those over the ditch
Thanks for the ups guys Yeah, i was expecting a couple of mk1's too, can be sometimes hard to convince people to come out for the day if it's a bit grey and rainy...or they want to bring another vag car for the day.
There's a few vask cars in bits at the moment....winter projects.
Yeah ... my experince in NZ tells me that they get a far broader range (all brands) than Aus. Of course ... they don't have a homemade (Holden/Ford) manufacturer to protect and they can bring in second-hand ex-Japan cheapies (not allowed here without VERY stringent ADRs to meet) ... so yeah ... heard NZ actually had the broadest range of vehicle availability in the world.

We have more MK4 R32s!! They have 32 only! www.r32.co.nz
I used to live in Auckland for 6 years and i was really dissapointed when i got to Perth. some people here haven't heard of cars that are common there (Nissan Primera, for example)
Top shots shots bsting! Can you find out what those wheels are that are on the silver mk4 for me?
Looks like it was a hoot of a day!
Cheers mate. Sadly, i don't know the owner and have never seen it before he just showed up. If i see it about, i'll let you know, they look like 18"s
the brand name might be 'Lenso'
As a side issue, this would be one of the most modded mk1 GTI's in NZ
Ground up rebuild, cage, coilovers, bigger brakes with rear discs, trackready
90% of this car is pretty much all brand new stuff! but is still cool to goto the shops in.
1.8T 20v with Quaife LSD and 6 speed box, approx 240-280 bhp and it's getting more upgrades as we speak!

Ain't that the truth, they do the same with commercial vehicles. Makes it a nightmare for us in the aftermarket spare parts business! When the operators come shopping for parts, as soon as they mention "grey import" everybody behind the counter ducks for cover!

06 Jetta 2.0TFSI Killed by a Lexus!
09 Eos 2.0TSI DSG Loved this car but has now gone to a new home!!
14 EOS 2.0 TSI has arrived!
I heard somewhere the shipment of RS2's we got was meant for Australia, but something happened and they came here, and there was under 200 RHD ones made ever.
A silver one here was shipped to the UK recently
Nice Blue one, I love 'em more than the UR quattro, even the 20v one.
