This is the first chance ive got to say that I enjoyed the meet very muchly. Havent been to the breakwater since it re-opened, not a bad place!!

Mmmmmm, grill'd. I'm always up for grill'd, perhaps the next run we can go there?

I got the **** burnt out of me as well. My neck and forehead copped the worst =/

It would have been good to stay but I wasn't a happy chappy after my brisk down from Mr Blue for double declutching.

Volksee how was the drive up the coast? does the mk1 have a/c?

I rate their burgers! Or perhaps I was merely very hungry... At the time you guys had lunch at Breakwater there were two vacant tables for 6 persons each. Not sure how many ended up meeting for the... erm... meet, but there may not be guaranteed seating (takeaway is an option!).

MattyT, I assume you're south of Stirling Hwy? I only know of an "IGUANA888" Golf, a Golf wagon and a white Tiguan in my part of Nedlands.

I'll try to attend the next meet properly, lol.

maybe next time we could organise a cruise with a bit more driving, hills run maybe. Those roads are always fun

Pretty poor that knowing how to drive and having mechanical sympathy for your car gets you in trouble hey.

Drive was fine and from what exhaust noises i could hear (from the symphony in my cab) of the 2 x R32's was wicked on the drive up North

Um no the mk1 def doesn't have any additional A/C other than the factory fitted 180km/h one. A/C robs hp and not having it allows me to reduce weight through sweat as I drive. Having sliding perspex race windows on 30+ day was not well thought out but hey, I had fun all the same

Since when was 9000rpming in between gears considered mechanical sympathy?

Nah, I'm in the 'poor part', sandwitched in between stirling hwy and the hospitals. There are tons of VW around here. So so many mk5 and mk6 golfs (mostly GTI too), theres a golf wagon up the road, a mk5 gti two doors up, a mk5 r32 up the road and I see a heap of Golf R's floating around.

I've seen it a couple of times since he got it but he wasn't on the cruise.

So many in fact, they're not worth posting as spottos anymore hehe. New Polo GTIs are still a bit uncommon though, for the moment
