Also I just have to check with insurance company tomorrow about whether or not I am covered for this event as I am guessing I'm not. Are you guys covered for this type of event? Although I am assuming as long as I don't go over the top with driving (which I'm not going to do as this is my first trackday), I should be fine.

As you can probably tell I'm quite nervous/anxious about this but I'm really wanting to go.

Thanks for adding me to the list, much appreciated.
You can drive by yourself on P's, there is no restriction since you are not on public roads.

Insurance for your car is not covered however they do have some sort of insurance on the track and the people but it won't cover the cars.
Having said that, it is only happy laps and the car's shouldn't be pushed far enough to do damage.
We have had 3 so far and the only problem was one S15 that went off sideways onto the grass.

As far as I am aware if we don't reach 30 paying customers then the event organiser can be requested to pay to the difference.
As we have 40 people paying there should be no problems mate.

I'll put you on the next one.
        Hopefully with some more lotuses.

Showers aren't expected until saturday afternoon so it should be good.
Have to charge the video camera tonight and give the car a quick hose to make sure the windows are clean and easy to see out of haha.

            • For everyone, don't forget to check over your vehicles

tyre pressures - I'd suggest at least 4psi over factory recommended, if not 6-8psi over is what I run on trackdays. It'll protect the tyre side walls and make the car more progressive should you over cook it in to a corner.
all wheel nuts are done up
all fluids, try ensure they are on the full indicator, particularly engine oil levels
Clear crap out of your car. windscreen mounted gps units inclusive

THE_EGG - i've done lots of sprint events, feel free to come find me for a chat before going out. I'll be in a silver polo.

                I agree completely.
The first time i had a loose plastic bag under the passengers seat and it was flying all over hte place in the car.
Make sure you remove any loose items and also check the tyre pressures and oil at the least.

I will have my video strapped to the headrest, i don't think they are too concerned with how you place the video so long as it won't fall out of the car or become a nuisance.

                        • Is it alright if I bring my Dad along? He wanted to come and see what it was about if thats ok. He won't be driving, he will be a passenger in my car and he will be paying as well. Also, I will probably only be able to stay for a couple of hours because of commitments. Thanks.

That is fine, i confirmed 41 eating so your father tops it up.
It starts at 7:30 then we drive around 8, have breakfast at 8:30 and we're all done by about 9 so it isn't too bad.

                            • so will it be breakfast after the laps? i think it is a better option if it can be arranged that way.

                                I guess we'll find out.

Also, it is a good idea to empty your bladder/bowel before the drive.
