There are a heap of vws around my area too, specially R R32 and gtis.. surprised more arent involved in clubs/meets?

i bumped into a guy at the servo with a schmick condition mk5 gti, obviously decently detailed etc, filling up his tyres with air.

he had no idea that watercooled even existed - i pointed him in our direction though

even guys with wheels / color coded bodykits etc who obviously have put money into changing their cars from stock, look bewildered when i give them the "V" peace sign to say hi. i think we're a relatively tiny number of dubbers on these forums.

i should put my hand up for this too - im in fitzroy, aint no thang for me to get over to wherever.

Yeah thats true ^ theres alot of gti etc owners that have never heard of the vww forum. Sometimes its good though, as theres too much threads about 'what colour tail lights should i get' 'how long till first damage of your mk6' 'what plates should i get' and other crap wasnt me lol.

However yeah im down with the date, and the time. Although i would much prefer to stay out of williamstown as cops there will bend you over .. authority abusers lol.

Parking is always going to be a problem in summer along the Esplanade, but further down is the GH Ransom Reserve, there is normally always parking and it has a public BBQ, problem is there is nothing around it other than the beach no shops etc in walking distance once were parked.

I'll take a drive around on the way home and take some photos of the parking situation and post them tonight.

It was very quiet at the beach tonight heaps of parking along the beach, when the weather is better like Monday night its packed.

If it is packed on the 24th we can always try the reserve,



or even the altona sports club



Otherwise if its quiet the right on the beach
