        Hey,
I was just wondering what time it all starts on the Sunday and how much entry is and all?
        I'm looking forward to it.

Was an excellent weekend, a bit of a tent flattening storm came through on Saturday afternoon, that was interesting. Camping was "cool" to say the least. Well organised, well run - catering was great too.

Good to get the Golf R qualified into the top ten shootout - set some great records & firsts for a watercooled car.

          Well worth attending next year

Was a good weekend! I was down there saturday & had some interesting fun keeping the tents all up during the massive storm. We then headed back to brissy for the night & back out sunday morning. If I'd known I was going to do this I would of camped myself

Next year I'll definitely be attending & camping.

With the new car (Golf R) me and Courtney (WhiteVR6) headed up to Queensland with a fully loaded car ! The Golf R has less space in it than the mk3 we are use to racing . The Golf R barely had 3500km on it and only a few mods including Miltek downpipe and VW motorsport intake . I did some custom heatshielding and weight removing before coming up .

We arrived at Warwick about 10am and set the tent . I did the first three runs and found the traction control really difficult to get right , and when I did the delay killed the reaction time . This plagued both me and Courtney all weekend . I did 3 runs all around 8.6 . Then the weather turned . OMG it was like a cyclone and those who were there could testify to this !
The storm passed and the track officals started drying the track , only for another storm to come through , dinner was served with the announcement that Portland has been cancelled and there will be a 3 day event at WSID in late February . Involving a day of racing , show and shine and a Dyno challenge (will post up some sketchy details shortly) . Dinner was really nice and is up to restaurant standard , much enjoyed after a day of racing .

Sunday brought a sunny morning and a hearty breakfast . Courtney ran 11 times and managed to make it into the finals only losing due to breaking out . Best run of the weekend was 8.35 and best mph was 85.23 . Courtney won fastest female and points winner for most wins at Portland/Warwick and came runner up at Warwick .

Will add some pictures shortly .

Must thank Craig for holding another great event , Guy for coming down and seeing that Drag racing is fun and hoping he will come down to WSID . All the crew at Warwick who work hard from sun-up till long after sun-down . Courtney for putting up with the all nighters to get the car ready and all the other competitors who make the trek (some from Adelaide <winks at Phaeton>) who make this event as great as what it is . Hopefully next year there will be more who can make the event bigger and better .

Congrats to the VWMA crew for a great event & looking forward to Sydney

Congrats to Courtney on her wins & Guy H for being the first watercooled in the Top 8 shootout

I will most likely go with 'Shrapnel' for support and may take the Jetta and have a go in Sydney.

Hope you had a good trip back, it was looking pretty stormy there for a while. made it back for the second 1/2 of the NRL grand final, so that wasn't too bad.

Guy I heard that you were out at QR last night running low 11's. Did you break into the 10's?
