Guys sounds like you all had a great day. I want to dip my toe into this caper. Wish I didn't know about the beemer horror ending though. It has made me flinch and procrastinate a little more.

Am I right that some cars ran 19's on their cars? I was thinking of getting 18's setup. This would be better for tracking?

I definately think I need to turn up to one of these track days as a spectator so I can get the bug. I'm sure if I'm at the track I will start to wish I was running on it.

    Great pics by the way!!!!

I would get the smallest wheels that will fit over your brakes and fit semi-slicks to them. If you check the sizing and price of semi-slicks, you will see here are far more options for higher profile tyres and those available are cheaper. They have much stiffer sidewalls than road tyres so you don't need ultra low profiles.

Here is Bridgestone Australia's listing for RE55 fitments

Cheers Kaanage, was thinking of buying 18 Tally's that someone might want to offload and fitting slicks. Only thinking of Tally's cause I'm toying with the idea of setting up for full size spare for the odd remote long distant drives I do. Two birds with one stone type of thing and it will be part of the logic I'll use on my wife when I go spending some cash lol.

            Well done guys.

That Volvo belong to my olman some years ago. Had full A.Brown built cage, custom gearbox tunnel etc. Good to see the new owner has finished the car off. Those Simmons were not cheap in 1996.

You wouldn't have known it if you heard the cursing after I came in from the session where I picked up the dent (and that was BEFORE Coralon pointed out the dent) but yeah, I had fun

I hope that all the others that I conned into coming along didn't find my statements (about much fun there is to track time) an exaggeration.

Not needed for a Tampered M/S day or most non-competitive track days but if you want to do a sprint series, then you'll need an extinguisher.

What car do you have? They aren't hard to fit.

NOVEMBER 2ND - MELBOURNE CUP DAY TRACK DAY
Once again, another Tampered Motorsport Track day is coming up. Tuesday November 2nd is the date which is Melbourne Cup Day public holiday, and once again at Winton Motor Raceway.
Most of you know by now that I have had a hard drive fail on me, and have lost a lot of people off the email list. I am still struggling to rebuild the mailing list but I would appreciate if you could forward this on to all of your friends.
So the details of the day are……

Entry Fee: $160 Including Electronic Timing

Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. Due to the amount of passengers at previous events our insurer has put a small levy on passengers of $20. You can just pay this when you sign the forms at the Scrutineering office.

SO IF YOU ARE WOULD LIKE TO COMPETE EMAIL YOUR DETAILS TO
