I will partake in this cruise thing once my car makes noises. I will also do this route once and once only. Unless I am seriously bored, as I am far far away, in a land were one can walk the streets in the middle of the night and the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. And huge kangaroos. And the dark. And any other depressing thoughts and mentalities that may plague you when the night is dead silent and all you have is your own mind to contemplate on.

Short story: Ill most likely want to go, but im in the far north west of melbourne.

This sounds like a great idea!

Given the original thread is so old it would be worth starting a new one with the current plans/route/destination etc. Is someone wants to take the lead on that it would be appreciated. I can then put a link into this thread and close it to avoid confusion from the older info.

Personally I'm always keen on a drive with a destination that includes some sort of park/reserve, preferably with some facilities like toilets and BBQ's so I can feed and empty the kids/wife who come with me.
