Went past a blue Golf R today near Hexham yesterday (Sunday) at around 3.30pm. It wasn't you was it Andrew (Ideo)? It looked clean....

And saw a blue Scirocco R near "The brewery" this morning at around 9.15am. Anyone?

On a side note, do any of you guys ever head up to the Ringwood (just past Raymond Terrace) hillclimb track? I went to watch a friend race a Nissan Silvia there yesterday - it was good.

Yeah i didnt know there was a hillclimb track until my friend told me on Sat night. He has a Nissan Silvia S13 that he races there - good cheap fun and everyone seemed really friendly.

Hope the black Jetta has better luck with his coilovers than my mate has had. He spent $700 at Bowers getting adjustments done + new swaybar links a few weeks ago and now its rattling again. Think he needs to buy a new coilover for the front passenger side.

I had a stripped strut nut, got everything replaced now I got a noise as if the strut bearing is destroyed. But didn't have the noise before:s

Dumb cars - my mate has had issues with the top strut nut continually coming loose. Nothing fixes it - rattle guns / loctite etc....annoying.

Justin at black track is a good bloke, does charge a little more for his services but he knows his stuff.
He has done allot of work on my mates xr6t, its putting out 320kw at the wheels on a mild tune. wouldnt harm in asking him I supose.

I did clean my car for a change on Sunday, but I only went as far west as Hamilton. Was out that way on Saturday, but my car would have been grey, not blue.

Na it was definetly Sunday so it wasnt you by the sounds of it. Two guys at work have blue R's and another friend of mine does as well - so it might have been one of them or someone else.

PS - how much was your dyno run at John Collins? Its a crappy workshop but the tall guy (cant remember his name but he did my dyno) is nice and seems to know his stuff.

Took a lot of care with the car, looked after it well. And I like the fact that the dyno is not on a ramp like so many others.

My mechanic has a similar workshop in terms of a bit...grungy, but as long as they do a good job and care about what they do, I'd prefer that over shiny marble and chrome.

Thats where im taking mine to get tuned, im aiming for ( and will achieve ) over 300 atw, Im getting everything together and getting it all done at once. will be getting a big intercooler, dump pipe to finish the exhaust, f6 typhoon air box and k&n filter, bigger injectors and walbro fuel pump. Will be running a dual stage tune, so for daily driving itll be on lpg, when i hammer it itll automatically change to fuel. super keen, bring on the tax return. All this will get me over 300rwkw and get me in low 12's, high 11's at the dragizzles

Anyone up here in Lake Macq / Ncstle done Nanolex paint protection? Don't know what it actually protects the paint from but there's a pic of a Roc on another thread & it looks good.
