Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.     [VIC] Bay Cruise '07

    OK PEOPLE... BAY CRUISE '07 IS LOCKED IN!!!

    Details are as follows...

    Meet Point is Albert Park (for the Melbournites) @ 7am on Saturday October 6th (here's where: http://vr6.com.au/images/albertparkmeetspot.jpg - thanks for the pic Tim ). From there we will cruise for the bay (Apollo Bay) down the wonderful GOR (Great Ocean Road) so anyone not from Melbourne can meet us in the slips.

    Could we possibly do an inland run on the way back? Could someone pick the cafe? The answer to both is yes so start posting if you're interested and feel free to add ideas!!

    Hopefully the weather will have cleared up by then so all will be peachy!

                  I hope to be in, but 2.5-3 hours each way is quite a bit....

                      What's so bad about this.

                      The last few cruise's I went on took me about this. Remember, I drove nearly 3 hour's one way for donut's & milkshake

                      Come on fella's. Be part of it.

                      I reckon this cruise will be the only one that come's close to me.

                        I'm up for this, but i do think we need to pre-organise ways to contact each other.

                        Cb's and mobiles are a must and possibly have one person at the front and one at the back at all times to keep us as a group.

                          Hi there!!! I am a new member and would like to join you guys for a cruise along the Great Ocean Road. Is there a pre meeting to discuss the itinerary? Lately, I haven’t had chances to drive my car and this cruise sounds fantastic and is a good chance to meet other members.

                            I'm happy to be the last car, that way I can get good pics of the cars ahead. And not to mention am terrible with directions. Otherwise would be too tempted to cain it all the way....

                              The more the merrier, no pre meetings, Just do it (nike). The only meeting we have is on the day chat a bit then head off once everyone has arrived.
