Definitely going to try and get down now....cold air is back on working awesomely (see "breath of fresh air...) and I should have the the springs and roll bars on by then. Will be the 1st real hit up for her.
Will probably be down on the Friday (staying in Albert Park somewhere, Queens Rd), do the drive on Sat and then head home on Sun. May as well make a weekend of it

I was bored yesterday & decided to go for a spin down the GOR for a wrecky (as this & the Otway's was my backyard for driver training) & I've got some awesome road's to travel down.
I'd suggest that you fill up your fuel tanks in Geelong, bring a camera, glass cleaner & rag (as the sea mist can create problem's with sunglare in the arvo) & also make sure your tyres are in good nick cause some of these road's are very demanding! My Toyo's no longer have chicken strip's on them & are worn right around the sidewall.
I thought I'd step up to the plate & work out the travel plan from the GOR.
The tour I've laid out (we don't have to go this way, but is the most enjoyable & avoid's the GOR traffic) is meetup in Geelong maybe the waterfront for some photo's, then a casual cruise (due to traffic & the 80K speed limit)down the GOR to Lorne for some more photo's & a bit to eat, then keep going toward's Apollo Bay & turn off at Sceene River inland. We can also go to Apollo Bay & go this way on the return. This the road that set's it apart IMHO & is mostly 100km/h too! With plenty of stopping point's for some crazy scenery pic's looking through the valley, ocean etc.
Round trip from Geelong is just over 200K's. The earlier we start, the better.
Can't wait.
I garantee no one will be disappointed with the chosen road's.
