Hey Van hope I didn't offend you in any way. If I did, please accept my apologies. Was just curious to know if GIAC tune made any difference. Whatever the result is and which ever tune you ultimately decide to keep or switch to, I wish you the best in tuning your damn awesome pog mate and hope you get whatever you need sorted. At the end of the day a hell of a work has gone into your pog and I too hope for awesome power figures. It was interesting to see how 2 of the top and most highly modified pogs in Melbourne go on the dyno today (vwthunder vs ssman). Been waiting for an answer to my curiosity for a while now.

Yeah that too. In the end I decided that your pog was crowned the "King of Soot"!!! LOL...

        • Thanks Dean for a very well run event. Your gti pirelli is a freak of nature. Too bad my car was having issues but at least hyper1's similarly tuned s4 took the crown today albeit not by much.

Just out of interest, the other gti pirelli there, was that stock? I had to leave earlier so i missed a bunch of cars.

          • Hi Guys,

145.9 kw with the ecu cutting back twice on the graph and watching the fuel pressure go from 60 psi down to 25 psi my brain is spinning.

Well after having the run home, the computer is adjusting to the new tune and providing a beater feel than it had just after the flash and run so at this point I would say that I will keep the tune Scotty.

Dave its all good, Yes it was only a gain of 1.6 but when you study the graph the potential would put me around the 160-165 mark with a better mid range curve (huge difference). compared to the ARP tune which did not have any more to offer in the graph with a flat mid range.

Next will be to get the fuel pressure reg checked/changed, fuel damper and add a fuel pump to keep the pressure up if the reg is working properly. Once I get the A/F r's in line I can start playing with the boost machine and n75r valve.

The joys of playing for power.
