HPF have just informed me that they will be providing the facility only and therefore we will need to provide our own food and drinks. I will be having to outlay the money for the sausages, bread and soft drinks. I would ask that everyone that attends that plans to eat/drink/spectate donate $5.00

That hardly seems fair.
The OP clearly states 8:30 till late(6ish).

I understand that it's first in best dressed but to make a request like this two days out isn't going to make those of us who can't be there at the crack of dawn all that enthusiastic.

I think the proposed way of doing things will register and pay when you get there with preference given to those who have signed up first.
Its the only really fair way to do it I think. It is also hard to know exactly how long the dyno day will run. Its not really in Deans hands. HPF are the ones calling the shots there. I dont think it will be a massive problem though. With the massive number of cars signed up its gonna take a while to get through them. The big problem will be if everyone decides to turn up late and expect a run. There needs to be a constant stream from early on.

At the end of the day it is a social event. The idea is to hang about, enjoy some laughs and see what our cars are capable of.

Exactly what Tim said. It starts at 8.30, if there are only four cars there, that will take it roughly to 9.30 (assuming they take 15 minutes per car).

If they are waiting around, they are waiting around, but if everyone comes at 12-1PM and we have 30 cars to do that would take 7.5 hours which would mean we would not be able to run everyone else.

i dont have a problem being there at 8:00 am.
