I'm only a mod in the Mk5 section. I just think it's funny you two have your own little language going

            Great work guys.

I am hoping to get out to the next one that the VW boys are attending to run the Tig.
Didn't work out this time, had too many commitments pop up and December is really busy.

14.2 for a stage 1 jetta is pretty decent.
You just need some weight reduction Alex.

With cooler temps I think it's a genuine 11 sec car there Guy.
              Cool car none the less!

It was that hot/muggy that we came to an agreement that it was worth a whole second off our time's... LOL

Is yours by any chance a red MKV GTi with black wheels?

                    I don't think Guy has a Mk5 anymore.
They have the Red Mk6 and the White R and a new Polo GTI on the way.

Nice work on the 14.1 justin, do you have your 60ft times? was it consistent all night or just a lucky run?
And alex, did you try with and without launch? also I've found a little burnout yields good results for overall ET, however the MPH stays the same. you will find that in manual a shift from 1-2nd at around 5000rpm will be alot better than at 6 or redline, you leave the car in a better torque band.

And for the record, I've never tapped 100mph 99.79 was the best with a 14.008. This was following my PB of 13.981 @98.64 with a 60' of 2.116. Not too shabby for KU31's at 36PSI, with just a bluefin flash

Sticky rubber, under half a tank and cooler air would of seen a lower time, but not by much.

What was guys secret weapon???!! 12.1 with just stg 1?!! WHOLLY FFFAAARRRKKKK. 1 please.

^ No wasn't a lucky run at all I had 4 runs, 14.3/14.1/14.1/14.2 so good consistancy there.
60ft time's are really down for an AWD car, I'm not liking them at all, for the 14.3 it was 2.208 and for the others they were around 2.144... WTF they should be around 2.0 or even 1.9...

It was such a hot/muggy night and I know colder temps would of provided better times.
I'm really impressed with my 98MPH which I hit on 3 of the 4 runs.

I think this is a great guide to get before I install the cams and head out there on some ice cool winter nights

My best 60 foots were 1.8's, but the 0-100 times were still almost 1/2 a second slower than what they should have been - too much heatsoak sitting in line...

Lol, Were your 0-100 time's still in the 3 second bracket? Better yet, What was your 0-200 time?
I bet it's going to be sad to give this one back...

                              0-100 (0-60mph) 3.8 seconds
                              0-160 (0-100mph) 7.6 Seconds
0-200kmph (125mph) 12.3 Seconds. (there is a long gearshift which knocks this back a bit)
