There is a place not far from the huge sheep that I saw over the weekend that chareges $75 a double. Looked ok...

There's a few places not far from the track which are well priced.

Generally, there's a group of us who stay at the Best Western in their large rooms (Sleeps 5 per room) which generally works out to be approx $50-$60 per person.

If anyone is keen to stay down there the night before &/or the night after, please shoot me a PM

you get a carport to yourself and that's about it...have to bring all your own supplies.

there is a crappy kiosk and they have fuel on site.

                      what facilities does winton have?...

Has anyone run a transporter? I wish I had a vw car as well as the van.... Maybe one day!
In fact next year once I have a tow pack installed maybe I could offer my services as a tow and service vehicle in trade for some laps in a golf.

Christ you must like towing! You should spend some time at Mallala - it's really not that bad.

Driving at Wakefield is a bit like Winton, too but being on the side of a hill makes it more interesting than the newer Winton section.

                              Cheers thanks

It makes it easier when you have 2 drivers. Might check out Mallala track days after wakefield see if I like it.
