Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

dude, it was a real shame that you got lost....

to give you an idea of how wierd it panned out...

i overtook you on the way to monbulk, on the two lane up hill, yeah? and chris (red mk5 gti) was behind you...

then, i figure i get lost, as the other boys were way ahead, but i keep on going. so you're still behind me, and chris would still be behind you.

then, on the way to C402, i could have sworn that i pass you going in the other direction, even though you're SUPPOSED to be behind me, and chris behind you.

THEN!!!! i get closer to olinda, and chris is two cars up ahead of me!!!!!!

THEN!!!!!!!!!!!! me and chris are lost, and im following him around and we end up parking in some random olinda parking lot, thinking that we're both done for, and might as well go home. chris goes inside a cafe to get a coffee.

THHHHHEEEEEEEEENNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! chris comes back out, and says the rest of the boys are in the cafe/restaurant that he just went in to get a coffee at, just hanging out.

dude, i wish i had the creativity to make this **** up, but honestly.... boys who know me from the last couple of cruises that i've been on, know that this kind of thing is par for the course with me, haha.

p.s. pls dont ever feel like you have to apologise for taking your time- we do it because we love it. and NO ONE wants to see a fellow dubber get hurt (them or their car) whilst we're all out having fun.

mate- just make sure you come on the maroondah dam cruise!!!!!!!!!

Plan now is to get mine fixed up this weekend coming, dodgy arm permitting (come on, heaaaaaal)...
There is no Golf in my life. This is unacceptable...

              • Thanks for organising this Paul, it was good to catch up with some fellow Golf drivers and give the old Mk2 a blast. Sorry I couldn't hang around at the end but I needed to get some work done in the garage. (non VW project I'm afraid)

                          • Just a heads up to everyone that participated in this event.
I am in the early stages of planning a cruise which will be held next year to visit the B24 Liberator Bomber Restoration and the Point Cook Aircraft Museum.
Followed by lunch etc. This will happen mid-late January. Sound good??

Very true. Obviously at this stage its still in the planning stages. I've Pm'ed Dom. The idea being that the cruise could be perhaps 1 or 2 weeks before SEDF.
