Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

EDIT: Oh, this is my first cruze so be gentle
lol. this is gonna be a relaxed drive, but over time (and with more and more cruises/ gtg's!) you'll find (like i did) that in-town traffic light play might be frowned upon (especially because that many VW's in a row always gets peoples attention)...

once we're in the hills, however, ish can get kinda scary

p.s. that being said, it'd be interesting to see the pog 1.2 turbo's straight line credentials. i rate the car / engineering very highly.

I won't be able to make it, but I was a little surprised that you left this road out of the route (it's one of my favs).

If you're looking for a resturant I recently had dinner at Coonara Springs (on Olinda-Monbulk Rd) and can recommend that. Nice views too.

Have fun, and take plenty of pics for us.

Well I see if I can fit that road into the route, but I may not have time. I'm sorry the departure time I'd earlier however any later it is too busy up there. Bumping, this up for any more interest?? Should be a relaxed/chilled out day!

If I can work out where this oil leak is coming from, and get the fuel pump stripped and rebuilt on Saturday, i'm still in. It ain't looking too good at the moment
