Theme of the 2010 Day of the VW (Vic) will be celebarting 35 years of the VW Golf in Oz.
1st Golf registered in Oz in 1975. Was awarded COTY Wheels car of the year award in 1976.
We will be looking to have a cavalcade of 35 Golfs from 1975 thru to 2010.

So big focus on watercoolers this year.

I'm pretty sure DOVW VIC is the last of the big events for VW's this year?

SEDF was in summer, DOVW SA was earlier in the year, VW nats NSW was just the other week. I'm sure there will be a few other smaller shows going on though, and we'll be having a few cruises and meets before then anyways!

is dovw like a mixed event eg aircooled and watercooled? and when is dubfest is there a date yet?

yea DOVW is a mixed event, although there will be a big watercooled focus this year, cause it's 35 years since the golf was first sold in australia!

I dont think there is anything set in stone for SEDF yet. The organiser is busy holidaying and getting more baad ideas in europe!

i have been assigned by the VWCV to put together a cavalcade of golfs ranging from 1975-2010! these cars will be on display and will be the main attraction at this years show!

so i am welcoming anyone who has a golf within those years to help me with the line up! it doesnt matter if your car is modified or stock! i just need to fill all years!
i need each year from 1975 onwards! i know some will be abit tricky, but with everyone's help im sure we can show everyone that we have a serious involvement in the VW scene!

even if you dont own a golf, please have a think if anyone you know or can get in contact with could have a certain year that will be tricky to find

please add your user-name, model of golf and year of build on this thread!

we need 35 golfs to make this happen! so please help me with your support!
