And the "leader" at the back of the pack is to ensure that the pack stays together and keep the stragglers moving, and also for if anyone makes a wrong turn.

Shane will be providing a valuable position, otherwise the whole convoy may fall apart, as each of the three segments of the run are over 40 minutes long, with plenty of room for error...

I hope everyone's OK with the layout of the convoy. I don't mean to sound dictatorial, but it's gonna be a task keeping everyone together with such a massive cruise. If u remember the Sydney cruise that had 25 peeps ended up with a third of the bunch getting lost!!! I'm pretty keen for this to be the best cruise ever!!!

I reckon that the photos of the day are going to be really fantastic! In advance we should plan out a few shots.

1. We should have one with all the cars in a group i.e One in the middle and others surrounding until it's a giant clump of VW's. We could even colour code them.

2. A giant line up on the side of the road would be cool. We'll need a decent long stretch to get this shot.

With a bit of patience (and willingness from everyone to take directions and carefully place cars for 10 minutes only) we'll get some great shots that members of the forum all over AUS will be able to enjoy.

Who knows if they're good I will send them into VW Australia with a small write up of our day. It could (maybe) make it into the VW Mag.

Been away and just read about SEQ#3 drive. Went on the first two and ain't going to miss this one either so count me in. My wife is most upset though that she can't make it as she is commited to a 10k fund raising walk. Luckily she'll have plenty of support there without me. So I guess this should make it to the 30 going on the drive? I have a Black Mk5 GTI. See you all there
