Yeah, I'll PM you my number now. Mickey's offered to put me up for the few nights we're down and he's not taking no for an answer
All booked, we are staying at the Mercure in Parramatta, $263 for 2 people x 2 nights, they have secure undercover parking hence why we booked there.15 kms from showground, 20min drive.
We are also getting the clutch replaced in "Old FaithfuL" Pajero, so that we can tow HAH44 and join the convey-really looking forward to it. HAH44's BBS wheels went in today to be polished up like new, got to have her looking her best.

I am keen to attend with the MkVI, have Friday off, just need to organise the Monday off. Is there any place to throw a stretcher and sleeping bag in a corner? Jimmy if you are interested in co-piloting in the Golf your welcome, I just have to return by Monday.
Mate I should be able to have the second half of Friday off, I'm still waiting to hear about the Monday. Just give me a call when you get into ''Sydney'' and we can work out everything

Which places is polishing the wheels--I need a set polished if you can pass me a number or websight or contact. Cheers J
You know how it is bro. The only condition you're allowed to stay at my house is if you have some form of alcohol with you
Sounds good, I've got plenty of that!
Not sure when we should leave, but I'm thinking very very early morning, I'm good for any time, then meet somewhere as a group before heading off. Make a few planned stops maybe, then otherwise just play it by ear, swap mobile numbers on the day so we can contact all the cars etc etc.
We were recommended Mag-it wheels, but they don't polish the wheels, they recommended this company which most other companies send there wheels too, guy called Dean phone 5597 3891. DEPULU wheel reconditioners, web site :- Depulu Wheel Reconditioners
We should have the wheels back next week, like new.

i live on the goldy but was thinkin gof meeting the Brisbane guys on either the side of the highway or at a servo somewhere convenient on the highway southbound... if we leave at around 4ish, we may hit firday traffic in sydney but then again we are going Western Suburbs so shouldnt matter as we will loop around the top of Sydney...

yea i know what you mean. keen on leaving at midnight? that way prob get to sydney before peak hour starts. im screwed either way. cause im either staying at my mates in Newtown or my uncles in Jannali. i could possibly stay with family friends in cambletown but i prob will be doing the rounds in the city anyways if i got extra time.

I like the idea of meeting you guys at say that massive BP at Chinderah? I think that's the one we stopped at for the SIDS cruise. It's just south of the Coast so it gives everyone an equal opportunity to get there without going out of their way.
It's probably a smarter idea to leave at like 10pm, but I don't know how I'd go driving all night (never done it).

It's hard the first time especially alone but if you got another driver it's pretty easy. I work 5pm to 5am night shifts so I'm more awake in the nights so I'm keen to leave 10pm. Good choice for meet up place. Hopefully no one gets lost like the SIDS cruise
