Yep overdue for a drive....but at this stage I'm on call for this weekend so it kinda rules it out for me... and next weekend Cheryl and I are heading north for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary...so I'm kinda tied up mate, sorry.
Don't forget to let Matt know, as there is a dude by the name of Zach(?) who Matt will send an email to when the next one is on.
He doesn't frequent the forums, but I met him at Pickerings yesterday, seems a nice chap.
You may know him; He's a Doctor at the RAAF base...drives a black 3dr Mk5 R.
I'll let you know if my situation changes, but it looks doubtful.
EDIT: Hey Jay, earlier in this thread you posted about spotting a BMP R32...I just realised that's Zach I met yesterday...his rego plate is ZAK 11 (I think?) NSW reg
Brett- This is what I have done so far- I though i would try something small so I started with the center caps. Here is a before and after. Pop around sometime and look at the rest of the wheels. I'm waiting for Matt to get back to me. Cheers Jay
I am the owner of the infamous Black Mk5 R32 you mentioned previously. I met Ian in at Pickerings the other day and he told me about this site, so I thought I'd check it out. What a surprise to find people talking about my R32 already! Just to clear up on one fact - my personalised plates are QLD euro style - ZAC11. The rest of the stuff I do is as per Ian's post. I had heard from Pip (RAAF Secpol - drives a Mk4 "FLOG") about your modified R32, but never had the opportunity to see it around.
I have actually put down a deposit on a Mk6 5Dr GTi DSG, candy white, 18 inch Detroits, ACC, Bi-Xenons, Dynaudio + Sat Nav, RVC, Bluetooth and window tint. Matt reckons it should be here in August some time. Luckily I've got a good car currently to tide me over!
Look forward to seeing you all enjoying your VAGs out and about the 'Ville!

Zac.
Ooopps my bad Zac, I thought thems was NSW plates ...sorry mate.
Yeah, I'm trading the R32 in on the Mk6. Getting the 5Dr as the kids are getting bigger and I'm getting jack of sliding the seat forward! Also getting old and lazy so getting the DSG. I decided not to hold out for the new R as I didn't want leather (too hot and sticky up here!) and I wanted to many options. I couldn't justify the price difference this time, and I think the GTi looks better too.
