Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

People can chat, take photo's, exchange parts etc. No need for the wash, vaccum and polish but more just rock up.

I dont want it to be like "street wars" or anything, with Renualt vs Pugoet and VW vs Opel but just come together, "Hard park" and walk round.

Just like what the hot rodders due at their cruise nights.
    James,

Great idea, count me in...we did this sort of thing in the Middle East, except we allowed 'exotic' rice burners such as a targa Honda NSX...I'll let you be the judge, as to whether the Japanese rule is stringent or not!!

Might pay that whichever place u choose. If its held on private property id try and get permission from the property owners up front. Otherwise the cops might show up and give you a hard time like they did when we went to the docklands.

Other than that maybe somewhere like the albert park carpark which is a public space and legal for us to gather in for a social event.

I know coming in from one direction, they have MASSIVE speed bumps.

that'd be a problem for those of us with the low.
