  • VIC Ideas for a VWWC event in march

    Hey guys

Was thinking that we dont have any vwwc cruise/gtg/bbq/orgy/whatever organised for March.
Im all for taking advantage of the warmer weather before the melbourne freeze sets in so im open to suggestions. Even if its just a social thing more than a hardcore cruise.

Happy to hear any suggestions of what people may be interested in getting up to. Would be nice if it was something new and exciting.

beach would probly be a bit too dependant on the weather making it a bit hard to plan I reckon.
Plus how many of you want to see my pastey white hairy body?

Back in the good old days, before most of you were even born, we used to go on "Car Rallies". The sort of rally I'm talking about is where you are given a running list of cryptic clues and puzzles to solve enroute to a final destination. In some cases you were penalized x number of points if you got from A to B too quickly. So it wasn't a race. The fastest person didn't win, the cleverest one did.

They were a lot of fun, but then, there were a lot less cars on the road. Possibly not practical today.

Hmm the idea of a car rally is a good one, sounds quite interesting.

I remember car rallies! and i'm young. I suggested one ages ago but the idea never took off, maybe it will now?

Jarred and I were discussing this idea a couple years ago but it kind of died as neither of us really knew how to organise it I think. Its still an idea that I think could be a lot of fun. I know ECCA have done a few days like this and it has been a great success.

If someone is able to give me a complete rundown on whats involved id love to get something like that happening!

How about Red Hill, have one person at the top and one at the bottom, both with radios, and do a timed run, go as hard or safe as you can and with the radios we can keep track of whos on the hill and if the coppers are around or not. that would be somthing different. Cheers

I love wilsons prom. Its a fair trip though and the weather in march is likely to be a little fickle down there perhaps? Probably a destination best kept for mid summer I reckon
