because its supported by VWA, des that mean there will be representatives taking number plate number downs which are modded in an attempt to void warranty once a claim is brought up? ive heard about stories at WSID where they had some VW guys there and someone who had a run went to do a warranty claim but they rejected it because they had photos of him at the track.
HRMMMMMMMMMMMMM! show and shine is in my neck of the woods too! will try to make it

Ohh no, I'm driving. I wanna break my best tank record. My main concern is driving alone for all that time (if I do drive alone, I will be splitting the drive over 2 days).Originally posted by byza View Postmaca...
i also maybe keen to do the drive as well from QLD to the nationals... i would probably drive down in my car so if your not keen on driving, could jump in with me and keep me awake LOL...2002 Volkswagen Bora V5 - 2007 Mazda 3 GT - 1998 Ford Contour Sport - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0T - 2013 Volkswagen Passat 130TDI - 2015 Ford Escape 1.5 - 2016 Subaru WRX - 2018 Volkswagen Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon

isnt the drive like 12 hours from Bris to Sydney?? that is feasible to do in a day with a few stops.... leave 4-5am in the morning to miss traffic and be there early evening the night before also missing traffic... if you stayed at port macquarie overnight, its still about a 4 and half hour drive to sydney which you wouldnt want to do the morning before show...
yes its a long drive but easily doable... i am sure if there is a few of us it would be all good...

Maca. Stretching the drive out over 2 days is pointless. I've left Brisbane at 9pm once and drove through the night non stop. That's the best time but I work night shifts so I can stay up all night easy ha. But if you left at like 6-8am and stopped off a few times like ballina, macksville, newcastle etc you'll be fine doing it one day and if you go down with a few it won't be so bad.

I usually drive that way and I will most likely go that way again. That way in my opinion is a more better driveOriginally posted by OEM G60 View PostLooks like there could be a few of us going from up here then, would you guys take the Pacific Highway? My vote would be to stop at Port Maquarie on the way, could do a B&B there.

Which way's quicker? I heard the inland road's a better road to drive on.Originally posted by OEM G60 View PostLooks like there could be a few of us going from up here then, would you guys take the Pacific Highway? My vote would be to stop at Port Maquarie on the way, could do a B&B there.
Yeah that sounds like a good plan, although defs not the night trip! Should be a good convoy heading down from QLD. Now let's hope I don't have to abide by NSW's stupid P plate laws!Originally posted by DUB84 View PostMaca. Stretching the drive out over 2 days is pointless. You can easily do Brisbane to Sydney in under 10hrs now with the new freeway sections in. I have done it in under 9hrs with fuel stops and lunch, and that was legal. If you have a co-driver you will have no problems at all.Originally posted by byza View Postisnt the drive like 12 hours from Bris to Sydney?? that is feasible to do in a day with a few stops.... leave 4-5am in the morning to miss traffic and be there early evening the night before also missing traffic... if you stayed at port macquarie overnight, its still about a 4 and half hour drive to sydney which you wouldnt want to do the morning before show...
