I must just say that if you are looking to absolve yourself from responsibility then as soon as you make a 'rule' that is then followed, you then are responsible - more than if you did not provide a guideline. This is because that if you say - we are going on a drive, we start here and end there, all you are doing is providing generic information. The rules are guidelines and therefore provide you with an increased duty of care, when in fact you are not responsible for the manner in which people drive or the condition of their vehicle. You provide no declaration, no insurance, you are not a club, you are not really covering anyones ass, but I think that the point you are trying to make is there. You wish not to have any trouble.

As for MKVR32 bashing, I think you will find that it is driven from the 'exclusivity' of such forums as R32 Owners Club etc. But on the whole not many people have a problem it is actually their twisted humour.

But as for the rules, just wanted to make sure you were aware.

I can see from some of the names the type of cars expected, is there anything less spec'd than a mkV GTI going?

I'm interested, but don't want to be holding you up (not sure if this is tongue in cheek, have to wait to see what I'm up against).

Looking at your sig, if I'm reading correct you drive a polo gti with stg 2? If so can't say you'll have too much difficulty keeping up. But in any case the last drive had a good mix with diesels a GT if I remember rightly and even a Copper S so you should have no issues 'keeping up'

come join in you'll have a ball

Think I might have to represent the little dubbs (you'd be amazed how often people talk about my Golf, they seem confused that it could be a Polo)

Running stage 1, there were 2 versions of this available from APR for the Polo, should be giving similar power to stock Golf GTI.

                            Hey guys! Newbie here

I was thinking of joining you on the cruise, but if you're worried about keeping up in a Polo GTi then i'd say i'd have problems in my Mk1 Cabriolet?

But what the hell if you'll have me I'm up for it!

no one, your polo gti will definitely give any mk5 gti even with a chip a run for its money.

your much lighter and nimbler remember that!
