Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was more suprised than anyone else. And you should have seen the look on Maris's face when I was presented with
the trophy as I then identified myself as scouser .
My car is used all the time as I mentioned, I did a wedding in it the day before.
I did whinge on here that it was just a clean car show and I still don't really agree with that, but I can see the reasons why it is run like that.
The main reason for my whinge is because I built my van myself at home in my shed with help from friends, I built the 4 inch narrowed beam , I fitted the discs, I fitted the IRS, I welded in the new metal 6 inches high all the way round, I did the bodywork. Infact the only thing I didn't do was build the engine and fit the headliner.

Yep, thats mine, all work by me and my mates.
The only pro used was for the head liner, the first one I did I didnt like.
4 inch Narrowed beam with discs.
IRS rear from a bay
Beetle wheel centres welded to new rims so I could fine tune the offset ( sorry that was also by someone other than a mate)
2007 motor, twin Dells, chromolly crank, all new including case, Fred Simpson heads.
Bottom 6 inches of metal all the way round replaced, type 3 hatch in rear, so I can adjust the carbies,
2 pac paint, ( dont tell anyone, but done in my garage as was all the rest of it)
4 years in resto and finished about 6 months ago
