Might there be a disc of the club pics again this year?

I was more suprised than anyone else. And you should have seen the look on Maris's face when I was presented with
the trophy as I then identified myself as scouser .
My car is used all the time as I mentioned, I did a wedding in it the day before.
I did whinge on here that it was just a clean car show and I still don't really agree with that, but I can see the reasons why it is run like that.
The main reason for my whinge is because I built my van myself at home in my shed with help from friends, I built the 4 inch narrowed beam , I fitted the discs, I fitted the IRS, I welded in the new metal 6 inches high all the way round, I did the bodywork. Infact the only thing I didn't do was build the engine and fit the headliner.

That was your splitty? That thing was amazing. The colour scheme looked to me like a '50 diner. Beautiful beast. I take it you don't drive it everyday. I'd be afraid of scratching it.

              • Yep drive it nearly every day.
Went for a run today, found a leak in the petrol tank so engine is out and fitting a new tank tomorrow.
Then its off to Mt Gambier for the Kombi Club Nationals on Friday.

Cool. I was just thinking as it's so clean etc that it might not see daily duties. Great work.

                          • Yep, thats mine, all work by me and my mates.
The only pro used was for the head liner, the first one I did I didnt like.
4 inch Narrowed beam with discs.
                            IRS rear from a bay
Beetle wheel centres welded to new rims so I could fine tune the offset ( sorry that was also by someone other than a mate)
2007 motor, twin Dells, chromolly crank, all new including case, Fred Simpson heads.
Bottom 6 inches of metal all the way round replaced, type 3 hatch in rear, so I can adjust the carbies,
2 pac paint, ( dont tell anyone, but done in my garage as was all the rest of it)
4 years in resto and finished about 6 months ago
