Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Who won Watercooled of the day? Red Beetle, by any chance?

Just noticed my pics look kinda average. Might try to fix that...

      • Now I am not just saying this because of the results but,,,,,

I think this was the better of the two shows we have here in SA, the amount of people who commented on how good it was to be able to get chairs and pergola,s out, sit on the grass with friends, and have the kids playing around, it was a great show.
The enthusiasts have tried something differant over the last two years but its not the same for family members when there is just a road to hang round.
At Modbury, if the other half wasnt interested or the kids got bored they could go the the plaza and shop or even see a film.
        Well done to all involved.

          Yep, you're right.

Her car has got better this year and I think alot has to do with her Father doing the judging with me last year. He found out where thay went a little astray and fixed it.

I think it's a great looking little car very well detailed.

          They have upped the standard.

Yes, I judged that car, and you couldn't really fault it (by the judging criteria, anyway). Even cleaner than yours, Maris!

              • I also post the start of this thread at aussieveedubbers, and to the credit of the people on this Forum, the results are a hundred times better.

420 (approx) views on 1 page on aussieveedubbers, almost 2300 viewson about 18 pages says alot.

Well done boys. Like to see more of us on the park next year.

I won't get into this conversation, but I can say that we are very happy with the venue we selected and we hope to be able to secure this location again next year.

                      • Annoyed I missed meeting some of you

Busy day from a Club prospective setting up, directing traffic, judging and packing up but all worth it to see the good reports on this forum.
Next year is DoVW 30th Anniversary so I expect every SA member to enter or pay a visit for the future progress of VW in SA.

Thanks to Ben and Stephen for assisting with the judging.
