All credit to you, thats going all the way with the cleaning.
Mine will be lucky to get a quick wipe over with an oily rag, mind you that did happen at midnight last night
as we fitted new ratio rockers, then found a pinhole fuel leak in the AN fitting from the base of the tank,
which I have to fix in the morning as I have to use it in a wedding at 2.00pm.
Now you can see now why mine will be at the show in a used condition.

No worries Mate....my rates are very competitive

It doesn't really take much effort. Gather the equipement (that takes me the longest, always something I can't find), remove, wash, clean, dry, apply dressing, replace.

Also gives you an opportunity to give the under guards a good clean also. Clean wheels really finish off the car.

The secret is to do a bit each day.....but you can't help bad luck, if you have a mechanical issue, then it's hard.

If I were you, I would get up early on Sunday morning, go to the nearest car wash (DIYS), foam the car all over incl. the wheels & underguard, then rinse high pressure. Drive home, this removes most of the water, then go over with Meguiars Quick Detailer to remove the waterspots. Clean windows inside & out. A bit of Armorall & it'll look pretty good, in fact Damm good.

This should be about 1.5-2 hours.

If you start at 0700, you'll be finished by 0900, an hour to get to the show, may still get an hour to touch up.....more than enough time to be competitive.

I'd like to go to the Nats, but after doing 3 Interstate trips last year, and planning on going to Perth for next year's Bug-In (Julia has never been to Perth), I'm not going anywhere this year.

To go to Sydney (even for 4 days) from Adelaide is a big job.

Tomorrow we pick up a new Camper Trailer, which the Golf will tow. So at the moment, where going out in the Camper. Booked Pt Pirie C.P. for Easter to try out the Camper.

It's just the light showers that mess up the cars, covers mine in a thin layer of mud, not having any undercover parking and all. Grrr

Just got home in my kombi, I picked up something called Armourall, someone said it would help clean my car???

Havent had time to give it a clean , I will give it a wipe over in the morning.

If anyone is interested, the dreaded Aircooled lot are meeting at Bunnings Marion at 8-8.15 for a cruise up there.
