Not all Bora's were struggling... but I must say Lora's Polo has some serious pickup, I had to work hard to stay close coming out of the Hairpins in the second forest run?

Man i wish i was there but had to work, would have been to good to catch up with some fellow VAG cars. Make sure its not to long between the next time, i'll definitely plan ahead and travel down. Congradulations to who ever took the pictures, gives me an idea on what i missed. Loved seeing the mk1 and mk2 golfs, makes me feel not alone. Ill try and make it this tuesday, make sure you make yourselves known otherwise I wont know who to talk to.

It was the classic case of the Bora having good traction through the corner versus good power to weight in the Polo.

Nevertheless, I had a great day, good people, good cars, good weather, great road sections.. pity I had to cut away before the last forest run.

well i attempted - my passenger (a mate) was late getting to my house in gosford, so i couldnt leave until 9:20am. so hten we drove like mad and got to the meet point by about 11:08, i flled up and called Matt (golfloon) and he said you were just left. so we chased and i think almost caught you by bowral, except then i got caught in some traffic. by the time we got to Robertson pie shop, you guys were away and i took the wrong road, and we went down Jambaroo pass by accident. (a good road too). after realiseing that you guys were elsewhere, we gave up and went to Kiama for lunch.

sad i missed you guys really, if we'd been 5 minutes earlier we might have made it, but damned if i was lucky to get through sydney as fast as i did anyway! I was really looking forward to catching up with some of you guys, and was looking forward to the day.... i'm just glad i didnt end up getting hte mk1 fixed and ready to go instead, 'cos i'd have been really miffed to miss out if i'd brought that!

Great shots Tom. Was great meeting a bunch of you. Didn't get a chance to speak to everyone though. You get that in a big group. Was my first VW cruise.

Will post up some of my shots later on. Nothing that great but some on road ones which were a bit scary in the mountain pass!
