I test drove the route today guys and worked out all the kinks.
It is an EXTREMELY fun drive but reasonably technical in parts.
For each person there is a route map and detailed instructions when you rock up on the day.
I just ask that you just read these thoroughly as there's a couple of notes about certain conditions we may experience (where there's some roadworks, damp roads/snow etc), parking locations for lunch (marysville) and technical sections.
Everyone should drive at their own speed, and as i say in the instructions, please be patient through the small patches of roadworks we experience (there's one right at the start basically and more towards kinglake and marysville) as the latter are removing dangerous branches off burnt trees etc. in repair efforts after the fires. It is a long cruise and there will be PLENTY of time to have fun in between these small roadwork patches.
Also, as a group of up to 30 cars, we will no doubt get broken up at some stage, there are contact details on the instructions and will be cruise leaders throughout the group.
It is a very simple route with only 18 or so turns to make, so chances of anyone getting lost are extremely low, but the details are there just in case.
I don't want to harp on as everything i'm saying is common sense to you all. I really look forward to seeing you all on the day, will be an awesome drive for us all and an epic sight seeing 30 euro cars cruising in a line!
See you all Sunday!
Any questions, please feel free to ask either now, or on the day
Oh yeah, p.s. It'd be cool to have a cruise leader from the vdub group as well, so if anyone wants to volunteer (it's dead easy) just let me know, and i can run through the route with you more in depth if you require before we leaveLast edited by AstraOiler; 19-06-2009, 05:46 PM.

I'll put up my hand for cruise leader if you want for the VW crew
It'll be easy for the rest of them to follow the soot cloudVW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
