Meet will most likely be 9:30am meet for a 10am departure.
Will be around the ringwood area not too far away from eastlink, i'm just finalising locations now, gotta scout them on friday to make sure they're friendly for us.
Once i've got my exam out of the way tomorrow i will scout the locations and test run the route to make sure of conditions etc.
Confirmation will be as soon as i can get it to you all

Yeh count me in at the mo. I was up the spurs this weekend gone by and my my does AWD come in handy It was very wet,foggy and cold at around 4.5 Degrees close to when black ice forms, not to mention stupid x-trails that drive at 5 km/h or expect slower traffic to move for them but than dont move themselves..

Meet point decided!

We're going with option 4. (i had a few earlier, but this is better)
I went out today to see how busy everything was on a sunday, and found the perfect place for our meet point.


Red= our carpark
Blue =route to get to it off eastlink (might be easier for people to get off on springy rd and just come down maroonday hwy...either way it's pretty simple)
The closest address i can give is 621 Maroondah hwy, Mitcham.
Ok, so it's on the service lane where option 3 is but we're actually going to be parking in the electrical warehouse part just off the road. It's a shop that's closed on sundays so the carpark is completely empty. It also means no1 has to go over any speed humps.
Contrary to what google maps shows, it's a full paved car-park, so don't worry about sitting in some building site.
There's approximately 35 carpark spots, and any overflow pending a massive rush of cars, can be on the service lane, but i doubt we'll need that. Also gives us really easy access to deep creek road allowing us not to be split up immediately on our route
Meet at 9-9:30 trying to leave at 10am sharp.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, just a few things to bring for the cruise.
Full tank of fuel, jumper, rain jacket (pending wet weather), CB radio, water bottle and maybe some food. We'll prob stop somewhere to grab some food to eat, but the food's just for the mean time.
CB will really help us if we get broken up, so if you haven't got one, consider a cheapy (like $40).

Also, everyone drive within your ability, don't feel the need to race ahead, or try and keep up if you're uncomfortable. There will be leaders at the front and back of the cruise to ensure no-one gets left behind or lost.

Doh, if only I looked at this earlier.. Don't think I'd be able to do a second Spurs cruise within a week I did Reefton/Lake Mountain/Marysville/Black spur with the Skylines club yesterday, and there was a fair bit of snow on the sides of the road at the top end of the Reefton.
