Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW VW nat this Sunday - what time will you be there ?

This one is getting too long now, http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=24765

So I start a new one, if you want to make any joke go back to the old thread

I'm sure we want to get the undercovered space, and park our watercooled vw together, the gate open @8:00am, do we want to go there earlier and GTG to wait for gate open ?

    Yes ? No ? or can't be bother ..

You need to be there by 10.30 at the latest. There will be a queue to get in and no cars will be judged after 11am.

Entry starts at 7ish. We need a good watercooled showing, so please dont get very drunk on Saturday and turn up late with excuses.

I`ll be there from 7 and will be organizing the watercooled parking.

We got nearly 70+ watercooled last year, triple figures this year would be nice.

                    See you there, be early.

                      Matt,

Are they doing "entry" on the go judging or walking around?

Reason i ask is, maybe its best we ALL MEET 730 in the car park to prep cars before entry if people are entering under categories otherwise everybody's cars will enter dirty/final touches not done?

                      Yes/no?

This year is going to be drive through judging, so yes a meet in the car park might be a good thing for those that want to do final touches.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Where would one park if their car was not being judged, would they just park in the front showground parking? I'm asking as I can only stay a few hours on the day and won't have time to stick around.

Yes, but there is a $10 parking fee... by which I mean no.

This year it is being run more like the Victorian DOVW event, inside parking is only for paying entrants until after juding has finished, then if there is space you may be allowed in. At the end of the day it's $10 to enter your car, you never know you might just get a trophy for your effort

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
