Wakefield Park Track Day 14/08/09

Ooooo... A fellow man with some mods aye If we went off mods, but I flying high! But if we're going on ability, well, I'd say I'm going to be towards the back... heheheheh

Personally, I've only been to the track once. So I'm going to be taking advantage of a driving instructor to make sure I give everyone a run for their money

What has actually supprised me, is that the only VW's we have keen for the track is Polo's! I would've thought there would've been a few Golf's who were keen

Only waiting for payments from a hand full of people now. Still a few weeks to go, so there's still time to get on board people

Just so everyone is aware A few of us are looking at staying down there on Friday night.

I'm sure after a full day of hard driving we are going to be rather tired, so we figured finding some cheap accomodation for the night may be a good idea... That way we can have a nice meal, a few drinks & of course talk BS about the day

So if anyone is keen on staying down there also, make yourself known & I can give you the details of where we are looking at staying etc.

Edit: So far we have 5 people staying down there for the Friday night

Best place to stay is Mike's Manor.
Only about 8 k from the Track,cheap,and does a great breakfast.
Mike is a well known Motorsport figure,sells the West sports racing cars,and a good guy.

We've already booked a place in town ... Nice & close to an awesome steak place

Looks like we've got another 2 track goers staying down there the night (Total 7)... Could be a rather messy night... Goulburn won't know what hit it!

Keeping the love in the VW family Our driving instructor for the day is... MACCAA!!! aka Len

So if your a Wakefield noob (Like myself) or just want to get the edge, he will be available for the day.

Costs for his services will be governed by exactly how many people wish to utilise him on the day. But at this stage my guess best would be approx $35.00 per person

Still time to get involved for this track day, but I need to have everything finalised by the end of this week.
