Wakefield Park Track Day 14/08/09

Good luck with it mate, hope it all goes well.
We are having enough trouble getting many of the locals up there to enter the Nationals supersprint day in a fortnights time... And that is dedicated to VWs as well...

That was pretty poorly advertised, I didn't read it on VWvortex till it was too late. If you want people to turn up, post it on ALL the VW Australia forums Had I known 2 months before I would have been there.

Wakefield is probably the best track in NSW for spectators.No cost,and a good Cafe as well.

Len are you and Tim going to be there? I'm considering this day, but want to do the last CircuitClub day at Oran Park as well. At the moment this day is a bit expensive.

I want to get into the 1:15's and I know it's possible with my current setup, but will require lots of work.

At the moment, we have 15 people confirmed which would mean it would be $294 + Wakefield License ($50 = 1 Year, $20 = 1 Day). Costs are divided up equally among all that are attending, & since we are likely to have smaller numbers when compared to a Circuit Club day, the costs are going to be higher unfortunately... But in saying that, you will be getting all the track time you can handle on the day

As the numbers come grow, the costs will come down I'm expecting a fair few people to get on board closer to the date as well.

I was talking to Swingn last night and he was saying no one on this forum has advised him that they're coming.

As this is a private track day numbers need to be confirmed pretty soon so everyone can pay for it. Although it is a little exey when you compare it to public days, remember we are only looking at having about 15 - 20 people and have the track for 6 or 7 hours (Matt can varify). That means that we will have a bucket load of time on the circuit.

Common guys, lets get involved and show these rice burners what real cars can do

At this stage I have set the price - Based on 15 people minimum - at $294.00 + Wakefield License ($50 = 1 Year, $20 = 1 Day).

At this stage all I need is the track fees ($294.00) transferred to me & a PM just to confirm what you'll be driving on the day.

Obviously the more people we have attending, the cheaper it will be. Rest assured, should we have more then 15 people any surplus funds will be refunded to you.

Also, if you are attending, can you please advise if you are interested in either a driving instructor or timing - Charges for this will be divided equally between those who are interested... We will need approx 10 people per extra to bring the costs down to a reasonable level.

Hi All!

At this point in time, I will need to receive funds / confirmation no later then Friday 7th August. The main reason for this is that should we have 20 cars or more, an ambulance will be required (Wakefield requires at least 1 week notice to organise this).

I'd say the S2000 and the EVO8 are going to be pretty quick, but without some detail on the Liberty's, no doubt some of them have a few spare horses under the hood...

It'll be interesting to see the Tiburon on the track.

noone... Some of those Liberty (I'll let you wait & see on the day ) are pretty modified. Running upwards of 200kw ATW (All 4's that is).

I'd be watching out for the MPS3 & probably the 135i... I'd say they will be the biggest supprises of the day.
