Im sorry but this is an accident waiting to happen .
Legal implications - if your going to supply alcohol you need a temporary license and the venue Im pretty sure will need to be inspected . If its a private function you dont need to , but since its on a public forum and youve invited anyone your going to need a license . I think the fine is like $10k or so
Any work carried out on cars whilst under the influence voids insurance , you should read your policy of alcohol at the workplace . This will include flashing ! Whats going to happen when you flash a car and a DV breaks , or a boost leak comes up ?????
I think you need to seperate business from pleasure . Your going to be responsible for everyone who drinks so you need to make the decision on who is able to drive home and who has to cool off , so you yourself really shouldnt be drinking . And at the very least carry a breatherliser . If anything goes wrong and you let them leave your gonna be in serious trouble
And lastly for someone who pushes everyone to join club vw and support the club if I was in the Club VW committe I would be insulted that you hold an event on at the same time that they do . If you think drinking with your mates is more important than going out to a track day with VWs I think you need to seriously consider a career change !Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution

Seb, sorry mate but on the issue of liquor license you are wrong, if you are making people pay for alchohol then you need a license this is how festivals etc work around the license factor they arent selling grog they are selling tickets that just so happen to buy u grog. its a crazy a..e system but thats the way beuracrats think lolLast edited by gtimk5; 26-04-2009, 08:24 AM.Originally posted by seangtiThe price of the car rarely indicates driver ability/lap time.

Going off your previous post nearly anyone that has a backyard BBQ needs a liquor licence. That's what this is, a backyard BBQ. The only difference is that it's being held at his buisiness address. That would be the same as if you worked from home and had friends around for a drink................

Geez Seb!!
Get over it mate. All your damn posts are negative and are open attacks towards Loon. I cannot see why you frequent this forum full of negatives towards other business members up in NSW ans Qld.
How do your bbqs go and did you get insurance for them??? I sincerely doubt it.
If you cant post anything posstive here then please dont bother trying to get brownie points in your petty row with Matt. From an outsider business owners point of view, it all looks very childish and unproffessional.
