I have washed mine twice in last 2 weeks (and the whole year iirc ) and then polished it oin Thursday. I know polish is first time since last year gcd. Then i looked in boot today to see if there was any stuff I should jetison to lighten load and found both wells at either side full of water. I think i got too keen with the hose when washing. So have spent all day bailing out the water and cleaning up and drying carpet etc. At least it was sunny today - that helped.

        What a drive & what a day!

Massive congrats to Matty and his 'tractor' for showing those Porsche boys how to drive in the Motorkana - he basically killed the entire field with his first run then got better after that...top 3 in the end im sure - fly that VW flag!

Highlights: epic roads on the way out there, massive turnout in Northam, Coffee on arrival + hotdogs, Motorkana event, droptop Gallardo driven by old Italian man in shiny pants with a manbag

Lowlights: band that nobody watched but yet there annoying tunes drowned out the engines during Motorkana, Epic cars failing to hit the hairpin properly in Motorkana (except a very few), Hotdog line...epic fail, Skyline sneeking in to show area?? Shannons stand girl wearing too much clothing, 384kms driven in total today...im stuffed!

Pics were taken...will be a while before i get round to posting some up sorry!

ps - first time driven through York...what a creepy looking old town (some bits) - failed to spot the famed York hospital though..spewin!

Do you mean the haunted hospital? If so that is on other side of the river.
Where we hit stop sign - which is road in from Perth - you turn right (from Perth go straight on) and cross the river. Then go first (or maybe second) right on other side of river and it is at the end of that street. If you cant find it first off then stop and ask the local ghosts - some are friendly.

Although a long drive I hope everyone enjoyed the scenery. Those roads have way better views than GEH, York or Toodyay rds.

Im such a sissy...i was getting the creeps just driving through that main strip.

Apparently someone has bought that old hospital and turned it into a private residance...they are not too happy bout people trying to tour their new home

Thankyou for organising that awesome drive out there with maps...and waiting for my friends Bimmer

I thoroughly enjoyed that (dispite being pretty hungover/knackered from a momentous week)!!!

WIN: Decent crooze with runamuk via an unconvential route to the show. New exhaust getting a good work out. GREAT turnout at the show, way more then last year. BRATWURST!

FAEL: Not much audi from what I saw. An R33 Skyline being allowed in??? Notable police presence on great eastern hwy on the way home (paranoid mat is paranoid). Rocked up too late to get in on the motorkhana action.

Fav cars: The AC schnitzer M3. The lambo gallardo spyder. A few of the older mercs. The "stealth" (all black + black twist rims) 911 turbo (gt2???).

ALSO: big props to matty c for showing them porka folk how its done in a polo tdi

                  hey all
i think i past a couple of you on the way home. two mk3's. a green one and a maroon one.i gave you a flash.

and yeah as said above , well done to the driver of the polo tdi, you pretty much embarrassed the fleet of overzealous porche and beamer drivers, i was just pissed that the guy stuffed up the time clock on your first run, because that was lookin to be by far one of the quickest of the day.

i have to say i was pretty impressed with the two older beamers too though. the gold one and the black one with luv2xlr8 or something like that on plates. they were obviously enjoying the chance to lay some tread without any flashin lights to worry about.
pity about the other red beamer, looks like he did some damage. it didnt sound good

Yep, that was me in the green machine. The other was runamuk.

Was pretty out of it / hungover, didnt even realise that was a mk3 until after you'd past us. Good to see you though!

sorry i couldnt make it guys.

spent friday in the freezing cold washing my car, only to have to go to hospital on saturday with quincys disease, so needless to say my weekend was horrible.

get some pictures up so some of us can atleast feel like we were there
