Will have to find a way to get to that 8 mile planes car park from the M1, I guess it'll be the logan road exit.

yeh, logan would probably be the quickest though you could take the Holmead Road also as a back way, probably lots of round-a-bouts though? here's a link to google maps to save you from searching

Sorry guys, haven't been on since the original post.... duh, silly me forgot about putting a tracker on it.


So, I think we're a go for the Sunday, and I think the two meeting spots are awesome. We're in Ormeau, so we'll meet up with the GC guys at Robina.

How about the Brissie guys meet up at say 10 and then come through and meet the GC guys at about 11? And then we aim to be at Rainbow Bay for 12pm, just in time for lunch?? That way no-one has to get up tooooo early and everyone is in a good mood and hungry??

We gonna do a BBQ??

We're going from Brisbane / Gold Coast, down to Rainbow Bay, which is at Tweed Heads, for a BBQ / get together. There is a map in the first post showing the destination point, but as you can see by further posts, the meeting points are still being sorted out for the guys to meet up.

Ok, 10 sounds achievable, 2 the people meeting in brissy please leave enough time t get 2 the meeting point by 10 :p because there r always straglers, we’ll hav t leave by LATEST 1025, if u cant make it there go straight 2 the next meeting point lets try not loose any1 this time

one thing we haven't figured out is where to park at Rainbow Bay. As far as I know, it's pretty much impossible to get a park in the carpark there. We will have to park somewhere close by. We may need to head down to Flagstaff Beach Rd, which i just south-east of Tweed Tce (look on the map).

We'll be at the GC meet up point at 11, and leave once the Brissie guys get there..

If it's on a Saturday i'm out. I'm getting my new wheels machined out and fitted on that Saturday... there's no way i'll be ready in time. Unless..... I get the wheels machined on Fri and fitted Sat morning, then I may be ready.

Also, the 5 or so main participants in this thread are happy with Sunday. Not one voter for Saturday have participated yet.
