Thanks to all those who attended, thanks especially to James for the invaluable input.

Recommendations at this point are as follows:

Categories to remain larger unchanged with the exception of SEAT, which will be split to Standard + and Modified.

General Categories to be changed slightly to Standard + and Modified.

Standard + meaning standard plus minor modifications. For example wheels and exhaust tip, otherwise unchanged. Standard + cars may be moved to the modified category at the judges discretion.

Judging is recommended to be done by drive through judging.

Judging criteria remains unchanged with sections for Body & Paint, Interior, Engine and Wheels & Exhaust.

Judging to be potentially done by two panels (< Mk2 and > Mk3)

Entrance and parking to be finalised with Club VeeDub at next meeting.

Yeah if none of you guys can be bothered to drive for an hour or two to have your say, let there be no whinging about the lack of scene, or anything that happens in relation to the nats.

We all gave up our time and hopefully will make this years show even better.

We`ll have to give up more time and drive to the ghetto of Fairfield to present our plan to club VW, dont expect to see any of you there, we`ll report back.

when some people work at a large company and are needed to be at a branch to run it you are unable to leave it. hence i need to actually take time off for events in advance to be able to go. and others live within the city district/northern beaches and eastern side of sydney, so before you criticise people unlike some people dont have freedom like others to just get up and go as they work or dont live west... i dont expect you to understand how that works, sounds like something you'd say doesn it......

so before you throw things at everybody who couldnt make it, people work and are busy with their own lives just like you who doesnt turn up to drag days, dyno days, gtgs, cruises because of whatever reason you may be unable to make it too regardless if you enjoy a dyno day or not its as you said "the scene" to create it.

im not having a go at you, but read what you said and consider as they would say

im sure everybody is looking forward to hearing the outcome etc if they cant make it

everybody appreciates the time and effort from all who are involved with the planning and most probably argueing to have say but be a bit more understanding to everyone.

I like it so far. perhaps with the standard + category, add something like 'bonus' points for oem wheels upgrades etc?

I also like the idea of having few categories. ie mk 1& 2, and mk 3, 4 & 5. should make the competition a bit tighter.

Sorry I have to agree I don't think that fairfield is the ghetto, however I did offer to conference call. I worked till 6:15 last night got home at 6:45 and then worked from home for another 1hr.

If we had one closer towards this way I could have made it out there easier

Either way I agree with some of the points Aaron has put out!

I also think that mk3 needs a catergory on its own look at how many mk3s attend gtg compared to the rest
