sadly i couldnt make it due to money being tight around this time of year

Had stinging eyes after the last run and felt dirty and grotty when I got home.

Have to save up for the next one Mischa, not to be missed!

Last night was a rainout so pissed off drove 2hours each way and got to see about 5 passes all up.

It's back on again today though from 11am. Don't feel like going up 3 days in a row though.

EDIT: Sorry Tim, i didn't get a chance to take any shots of the Turbo Rotary Sh*t. Plus, the insecure tossers always throw a cover over anything anyways.. I felt like saying "No point covering that up mate, no one gives a sh*t." haha.

Here are some pics of my day out with Courtney at the drags , we sat right next to the finish line which made it a pretty eventful day at the drags !

Firstly had a wheel come off one of the top fuel cars and went straight into the ambulance ! Those wheels are massive and the Ambo had a fair bit of damage but none of the glass shattered !

Then at the end of the night I think an Altered ran over one of the markers that were at the end of the track and the Austin ute that was behind him ran over it and hit the wall . Those cars are so rare now and the only time I ever seem anymore are at the drags .

My note from 10 years ago :

It seems the Top fuelers arent going much faster in the top end , they are faster overal but their speed isnt as greater increase as what it was 10 years ago , it seems they are hooking up harder off the mark !

I thought that was you! I was down the end too for the last TA/TF passes. Didn't want to say hello incase it wasn't and i made an idiot of myself! Hahaha.

And yes, very true. The cars are getting a lot faster to the 1/8 than they used to. Due to better tracks, tyres, clutch technology etc. Although when everything goes right, they can run ~330mph.

Disappointed to see Hillary Will not make a full pass as the car was definately capable of running a 4.50/60 in the second session. It carried the fronts all the way to the 330 mark off the line and was set to run a really serious time. Just a shame she shut off early.

The fact that so many teams were shutting off early and not making passes is very unprofessional in my opinion. The fans really go to see TF and when all but one car shut off early or chew up parts it really isn't much fun. Even Phil Read chewed some gear in one session and blew the tyres off in another, and Bruce is standing out on the strip with one of the best Fuel guys in the world chewing the fat before hand..

Ahh well, just my thoughts.
