Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If we are just doing some sussages, onions, in a bit of bread, with maybe some cheese and dead horse, $1 or so should cover that fairly easy. Then someone get some cans of drink, they normally work out 30-40c each, then some ice, flog them off for 50c.

That or $2 for a susage, and $1 for a drink and give the rest to a worthy chairty?

I wouldn't bother with bringing a bbq. Just maybe get someone to go ahead 10mins or so to earmark one if its busy.
I reckon the first suggestion is perfect - it's what I had in mind.

Unless everyone what's you bring their own, but then we'll end up with little groups of people cooking and eating...

Nah, don't do that. You'll have some fool rock up with everything and want their steak well done (which is wrong in itself), and then 1hour later everyone else gets a go :-p

Have we got numbers yet? That should give an indication of how much is needed.

Looking at the numbers, about 2kg of sussages should do. 3-4 loaves of bread, wouldn't bother with butter, thing of bbq and thing of tomato sauce. Bag of onions (mix in some brown sugar, they taste awesome) and some drinks. Ya done!
