Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Melbourne Go Karting Gran Prix

Melbourne Go Karting Gran Prix, for all the Melbourne VW watercooled massive to attend and have a bit of fun and possibly some immature bragging rights for whomever comes out on top. Also will be good to see all the Golf Karts in the parking lot of a Go karting venue.

I don't really have a plan as such, nor a venue, nor a date for that matter.

    It's more of a proposal.

I know in the past from trying to organise these Go Karting events that you usually need at least 8 people to 100% commit to coming or else the person who's organised it looses their often large deposit.

Open to suggested times, dates and venues.

I know of a good place in Morabbin called F1 Karts I think?
I haven't been to the one in Port Melbourne but I have heard it's decent.
There is also a good one on the Western Ring Road, Ace Karts, Deep park area I think.

Bring your Golf/polo/jetta/bora/bettle/passat/caddy/touareg/scirocco/corrado/phaeton/veyron etc, your mate, your Girlfriend, your Boyfriend (but not if he's taller than me) kiddin, family members, anyone who can drive and have some bias towards watercooled VW's as long as they can confirm 100% that they'll come.

i own a go cart, i take mine to south morang and silhoutte on the hume hwy/sydney rd. But thats probably too far for everyone, there was a mad 2 level one in lylidale i went to when i was like 13, south melbourne wasnt too bad when i went there, probably the best and easiest location for everyone too meet.

Sunday I have a wedding to drive for.
You still have those Mk1 GTI wheel arch trims gtimk5?
              If so, how much?
It wouldn't be too much for you to bring them over on the boat?
