WHy is it so few of your dyno charts are accurate ? Co-incident ?
So will you be coming to the Sydney dyno day , Im sure we can do back to back runs against Andy's car

Honestly, it's been much more fun & entertaining this way - I have never seen Seb get so bent out of shape & he blames me for everything!

yeh, i was there, but i cant explain why the temps were so high?! apparently with bringing the temps down to normal and useing the equation dynos use its only like 250kw tops? + the point about how the car is producing more power than what the turbo is rated at is also odd, seems these questions are being dodged? perhaps guy would make a good politician

You offering to pay to ship our car down & back? - I will take up that offer thanks. We came down last year, cost us ~ $2200 to get it there & back, but if you will pay that, sure - no problem.

KI11Z - if you remember the other thread, Seb & Big Yellow are claiming 260kw @ the wheels from a GTI with a smaller turbo than mine - so how do you work that out?

Just remember a couple of points (you were there at the dyno so you should be able to verify it).

You were at the dyno & like me, you saw them strap the car down & run it, you like me saw the figure.

The printout came out (anyone see any tampering?) - I gave it to Sharkie.

Hell - I didn't even post the dyno! - I don't really car. I'm more than happy to make it 200kw, not 300kw. Hey, if its a one off figure & its wrong, so be it - but don't accuse me of tampering with figures!

$2200 ? How did you get that figure , it didnt even cost me that much to drive 2 cars up to Warwick and race 1 of them for a weekend .

Andy will come , why cant you ?

Same dyno , same time and we can do back to back runs without changing any factors on the dyno .


Note : me and Big Yellow may claim 260 odd kw out of a slightly smaller turbo , but it has other things done to it as well , your claiming an increase of 60+ kw atws with race fuel only , no extra boost and are making more power than APR figures in the US and more power than what Garret says the turbo is capable of with no engine work done whatsoever


I think it doesnt really matter how many people were at the dyno day , the fact is , no one was there that understood how a dyno works so no one could point out the extremely high intake air temp . The least you could do is go back and get a more accurate dyno chart . You only got 1 run so Im sure they would be willing to do it again for free

P.S. - Its 980 bucks each way to ship the car down (lowered car needs low loading), airfares cost me ~ $300

I have gotten sick of this, it is clear what is going on here and I don't think anyone really cares except for Seb, it's a dyno readout get over it! I'm sure you have much better things to be doing like running your business and looking after a newborn.... dyno results made in another state by a car you have no involvement or interest in other than to try and debunk what figures it made don't matter and frankly no one cares at all.

This thread is gone, it's such a shame we can't seem to have a nice discussion on this forum anymore.
