Also that the probe that was used to measure the carbon spray was to close and measured a irregularity in the spray which was to high.
They also weren't wearing the same shoes which means that one of them were wearing higher soles which meant that the other person had to aim higher to hit them in the same spot, which when you get your calculator out meant that the elavation/ wind, x the radius that the sun was turning meant that they had a advantage

All sounds fair enough to me. With those temps it would throw the dyno readings around a bit.
It would be interesting to see what the mk5 makes with normal intake temps!
Yeah does to me too thats why i asked the question in the 1st place, what did you do? Higher octane fuel and timing had me a bit with the amount of gain shown, i too wasnt there and hey great figure, and im with Graeme a bit wouldnt mind a clearer explaination as im genuinly interested, squabbling im not interested in. Whatever the figure the bloody Golf is a missile man.

Dug up Dave's results from the last dyno day and intake temperatures were in the 40's for SMIC cars; AFR weren't as rich as mine either. Stupid Brisbane summers!
We should have all skipped the dyno & gone straight to the pub - we have kept Seb sleepless for the last couple of nights - he's been awake with his calculator (and he has a new baby).
