      • Looks good guys you'd have to be happy with the results, good to see Dan has the cord draped over his shoulder away from the paintwork.

The results look great, looks like an Edge pad being used, what grade(s) polish/swirl remover was used?

How did you find the Megs G220 was to use?

        Cheers,

        Snowy.

Yeah dude the results were fantastic
We used the Menzerna range of polishes, can't remember which one now but it was a serious one because my bonnet was quite bad lol.
And yes the Megs G220 was brilliant, I'm going to get one when they're in stock

          • Menzerna intensive 3.01 on yellow edge followed by Menzerna PO106FF on a blue edge. The guys did it with the G220 then i redid everything with the flex to make sure no spots had been missed

                  • Don't know if you did this, but one trick I was shown when learning to use the G220 was to put a black texta line on the yellow backing pad so you can make sure you're still getting some rotation if you're applying some pressure.

                    Cheers,

                    Snowy

                      • Hey, that's a pretty neat idea! Does the G220 actually need to rotate, though? As far as I understood it moved around in random directions, and NOT circular rotation?

                        • Yes, it definitely still needs to rotate, even a couple of revs per second is ok, if it actually stops rotating, all you're doing is vibrating the pad on the paint. It's a "Dual Action" type of polisher so the pad is rotating but the vibration sets the rotation around a random orbit and concentrates it's energy randomly on the paint surface so you don't burn through, so it still rotates but the vibrating action you can feel sets up the rotating pad around a random "Orbit". If it actually stops rotating you are using too much pressure or not working with enough product on the pad or you've worked the product too long.

(Phew...did that make any sense at all?)

PS, I'm not a Pro detailer, this is just what was explained to me when I was learning to use mine.
