Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Okay well here are the details:

Meet: Shell Servo - Enter from Princes Fwy Point Cook Exit (The first exit after the Newland St Exit). The entrance is actually on the exit lane, park next to Subway which is inside the servo.

Time: 7:30am for an 8am departure.

    Date: 24th of August 2008

    Route: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&s...5,2.911377&z=9

    Bring: Car + Camera

If anyone wants to meet us in Geelong PM me and I'll call you when we get to Geelong.

Note: An alternative route if it is a sealed road: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&s...=lmc:panoramio We can decide once we get to the intersection before Mt Sabine (Schmidt?), I'll bring plenty of maps to share either way.

    Cheers, Ben

I'll have meeting points, phone numbers and maps for all tomorrow. We'll have lunch at Apollo Bay and the drive back to Skenes creek... will figure it out depending on how long it takes us.

Remember if you want to join in Geelong, PM me asap.

a few of us have organised a cruise on 24th of august, looks like it will take about 4.5 hours. we will get going fairly early to beat the sunday drivers. all welcome, register your interest here. we will look to confirm a meeting point early next week. I will attach the route later on today

              cheers
              Andy,

Won't be coming this time as the new R36 hasn't arrived but will certainly the next time you go. I actually live down near Great OCean Road. The section from Skenes Creek back up to Forrest is the best bit of road going around. Have a great drive and see you guys next time.

I think it was the case that the "usual suspects" had other stuff on. I know that was the case for me.
Thats ok. We will be back with a vengeance! There are some nice events coming up in the next few months.
